Hurricane? Pfft. It was the earthquake that had me momentarily disconcerted. I've been able to recover, though.

That cover is merely foam, which is mostly air. Gorrilla glue, et al., is definitely not gap filling, nor particularly suited to marine applications. Still, it will likely work , though.
