If you rig your boat right, getting bags in and out is a snap. All you need is a pulley cord looped around either a dowel in the bow or the forward-most deck beam if your boat isn't fitted with an appropriate dowel. Fit your bags with a loop at each end that you can clip to loops on the pulley cord. That way, you can pull bags in or out with ease, in the photo, you can clearly see the cord and the dowel in the bow of the boat that it loops over.

A pulley cord can be retrofit to an existing boat using a weighted line. It works best with a dowel all the way up in the bow, but even using a deck beam makes installing bags a lot easier.
