: Any suggestions on where I can get an economical sprayskirt for my
: disko bay kayak? Brand names to look for, etc. I'm taking $40 or
: less, on line preferably.

: Although I want to learn to roll, I don't do nearly as much
: paddling as I do sailing, so a cheap one that keeps most water
: out is what I'm looking for...

If I may make a suggestion, I think you should go with a better skirt right from the get-go. You can pick up a Seals Shocker for under 100.00. Here's why:

You say you have the Disko Bay, which is great rolling boat, so at some point you're going to want to roll it. You'll need a half decent skirt to stay dry so the cheaper, touring/recreational skirt will not cut the mustard. So you'll need to upgrade. So after buying the 40.00 rec. skirt you're going to need to buy the 100.00 one to be happy.

Just as well to buy the better one from the start.

Sean

p.s. I did the exact same thing, i.e., bought the 40.00 rec skirt and then quickly realized its deficiencies and moved on up.
