: Regarding the width - how wide is it? and how hard is it to get

: stradle-able, particularly in a foor or two of water.

: Any other pointers for a fishing yak?

Mine is 28" wide and in all be the shallowest water I am just not comfortable straddling it which is how I get in my boats. So I have to come in from one side and just haven't found a good way to do that. Getting in is easier than getting out for me. With the rod holders I can't sit on the back deck and then swing a leg out.

There is a lot of personal choices in a fishing boat. I love the milk crate hatch in the back and the rod holders.
I wanted taller sides so I could lean over and not worry about water coming into the boat landing a fish or pulling up an anchor. But you have to balance so that your not hitting you elbows either.
In my kayak I find I have hold my rod a couple of inches higher than normal to clear the coaming. With the large opening it's not a problem and I love that. My shoulder would start to hurt after a while.
I raised the seat height since I had the stability. I like sitting up a little higher when fishing.

Thats just a few things I prefer.
