Hi Scott,
I went to bed (other side of the world) so just got to see it.
You can try and bend it again, but the problem is that once you have bent wood the lignin sets and it won't bend well again.
When you bend wood to a jig the wood always springs back, so you must overbend it. However, it becomes a bit of a hit and miss affair then.
You can laminate various layers and glue them together on the jig. That seems to minimize spring back.
The best solution is take the frame off and try again
Or
You can use the hatch without the external frame, and glue a lip on the inside of the deck on which the hatch lid rests.
You need a spacer between the lip and the deck to accommodate the seal height and some sort of hold down system.
Then it is all flush and you will have no problems with bending wood.
