: I finally got my new Iggy wet, and she did well. A 5 mile open
: water paddle across Platte Bay on Lake Michigan's western shore
: just south of Sleeping Bear Dunes National lakeshore. With just
: a light chop to start, 1-2 footers by late afternoon, it made
: for a very pleasant day on the water. I added an album to my
: website
: http://woodformkayaks.webs.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=12368278
: in case anyone wants to take a look. With the 3.2 oz. glass
: this boat came in at just over 28 pounds, and it's speed
: compared to my paddling partners made me aware of how much size
: and weight can slow you down. Of course, it could be my mighty
: paddling stroke......yeah, right :-)

Holy Smokes!! - 28lbs is the same weight as my SOK. 3.2 oz glass!! My Point Bennett S&G has 6oz inside and out with a double layer on the hull below the chine!!
