I am building some eye loops for deck rigging, places to tie under deck cords, and seat ties. Which is stronger/lighter laminated fiberglass (say 4 layers of 9 oz.) or wood covered in a few coats of epoxy? Will the laminations heat up in the warmer weather and become soft and flexible?
