I'm CG conscious, but not obsessed. It says that the "athletic" version and the rowing version are only 1/2" thick. I think I could live with that even if it didn't compress. It would probably compress 50% or it wouldn't have any cushion, right? So that's 1/4", or about the thickness of my normal wetsuit. Assuming my wetsuit compresses 50% it would still make the difference between a wetsuit and the pad only 1/8". I can live with it being 1/8" higher than where I sit now.
