: I have a question about wood colors. I am close to the point where
: I will start milling my strips. I want to use Cedar, and
: possibly some pine for lighter accents. I want to attempt a
: pattern very like that on the Cover of The Strip Built Sea
: Kayak.
: So my question is about color. How do you determine what the color
: will look like once it is is glassed? I really would like there
: to be a contrast between the woods. I'm pretty sure I can use
: pine for the lightest strips, I am just curious about how to
: select the darker woods in the raw form.
The water trick works well.. This (the picture) is just lightly wet down a little.
Obviously haven't really sanded much yet, but couldn't help wanting to see what it would look like post-glass.
