I'm glad I"m not the only one keeping an eye out for "reused/recycled" wood. 'Course, up here in the almost frozen North (those folks in the Adirondacks and Canada have it worse off), most of my "targets" are old dilapidated barns. Some of 'em have good lengths of siding that has naturally curved over the years.

I eye an old barn, appreciating the sheer lines on an imaginary pair of gunwales, muttering & wondering if there's any knots hidden under that old, faded, and peeling red paint and grey weathering. My wife listens with a jaded ear, rolls her eyes, and sighs theatrically. *grin*

Great pics of an awe inspiring ship, by the way. Good salvage story, too. It'll make me appreciate hauling my finds on top of my Subaru.
