In Response To: Strip: forms (jwuts)

: I am building a new Gilly and have my forms on its internal strong
: back. I seem to have lost confidence in by ability to line
: everything up. I think I am close but not sure. I have a laser
: level but not sure how to use it for the line up. Does one drill
: holes in the forms and shoot threw them. Any pointers will be
: appreciated. Thanks Joe

I recently went through the same thing. Its a bit tricky but hang in there you will get it. I used a Piece of string to check the marks against each other.

Basically it went like this:
1. Line up the vertical mark with the centerline mark on top of the strongback and hold it there,
2. raise the form until the center horizontal mark (not the sheerline mark) is lined up with the mark on the center of the side of the stronback
3. Sink a screw through the top of the form into the cleat.
4. Use a string to align the mark with other forms.

I have a more detailed write up of it here: http://thetoughline.com/?p=186

Feel free to ask any questions you have, I literally went through this less than a week ago.
