In Response To: Strip: forms (jwuts)

: I am building a new Gilly and have my forms on its internal strong
: back. I seem to have lost confidence in by ability to line
: everything up. I think I am close but not sure. I have a laser
: level but not sure how to use it for the line up. Does one drill
: holes in the forms and shoot threw them. Any pointers will be
: appreciated. Thanks Joe

- string works for me, nice and low-tech. Here's some other checks you can do: --

lay each station form on a piece of white card, trace around it and flip it to see if it's symmetrical; also check the centerline.
stack the station forms directly on top of each other and see if you get a fair across around the edges.

- basically all that is left is to ensure the strongback is actually straight, but even then you can use a chalk line to snap a straight line on it - provided it's stable.
