Rob, I use titebond but hate those pull up caps. You can buy empty plastic squeeze bottles at Ace Hardware, Hobby Lobby and other craft stores and I find them much easier to dispense an even bead of glue in the cove. My challenge is to keep up with the little red cap for an entire build! Some caps are tethered on.
I also use these bottles for dispensing small amounts of epoxy. Pick up a few, you'll love em.

Also Joes' description of beveling the deck/hull sheers on pg. 25 works great, and it's quick. That little bit of sanding is nothing to what you're in for :)
