Hi Bohdan - I was out paddling on Saturday and there was a lot of bird activity in Evans Bay. The shores were lined with fishermen, so indications were kahawai active in the bay.

Believe me any sort of fishing in a kayak is exciting. And there probably is a 50/50 mix of kahawai/baracouda (snoek). So having a fish rag or knife (to cut the line) might be a good option to add to your kit.
