I took the comment well and it was kind of what I expected to hear. The gaps I am having difficulties with pretty much disappear under epoxy and varnish but lead to lots of trouble during the project. I think I need to develop more patience and skill fitting strips properly. I received a lot of great advise from the guys on this site and I would like to thank you all. Of course I may have been better off if I had never started building these boats because now I am thinking I have just enough time to make a canoe before spring
