Spenards was the best I've found in Anchorage. I phoned first, the person who answered the phone said "we aint got none!" I felt itchy and went roaming around myself.
Ended up at Spenards. I asked for permission to wander around the covered portion of the yard and in the back and found the most beautiful 6x2 WRC I've ever seen in
alumber yard. They were clear, dark, vertical grained and long lengths. I even found Redwood there. At $4/ft. for WRC as you described - to me that is a "rip". Look
around for small mills, something will turn-up.
