I find that there are two ways to look at "foot room," which I have always found a confusing and dubious way of deciding whether or not a kayak "fits." Way one: This kayak should "fit" my feet! Way two: Maybe this kayak isn't designed for the foot position I'm used to using.

If fitting your feet in the way that you intend to place them is critical, that obviously limits the kayaks into which you will fit. There are a great many kayaks which are not designed for that foot position in which deck height is the determining factor. Humans are nothing if not adaptable. Except... in many cases... when it comes to feet and kayaks.
