Realistically with a 32" cockpit you'll fall out if it's inverted, it's pretty hard to stay in the kayak if you wanted to, specially if you're not wearing a skirt.

It probably depends on the shape of the cockpit and the deck curve at the sides. Lacking deck 'tumblehome' to provide some purchase for the thighs (which the NDK Romany and the Mariner kayaks both have, but which seems rare in plans for building), added thigh hooks (or added wedge padding to form thigh hooks) or a 'keyhole' cockpit shape can keep the legs under the deck.
I have 32.5" long cockpit openings (NB:Some commercial companies measure the cockpit to the outside of the lip, which makes the cockpit seem larger) in my boats and I can roll them even without a skirt, hang inverted, or do a re-entry and roll, .
