I like the idea of adding features that tend to enhance the shape of the kayak rather than disrupt what is already a pleasing shape.

Such features generally add almost nothing to the complexity of the build or the time taken to complete the build.

In some cases they involve nothing more than using a different timber for one or more of the strips.
