I would tend to agree with that sentiment. I use S-glass theses days (4oz), and find that with Mas it goes completely transparant. If one sands into the cloth... (Not enough fill coating) one does get vague print through. It can take a while to become obvious though.

I really like the S-glass, and I am quite happy to trade the odd future visible scratch for the added strength. I use my boats though. If I was building one for a museum, or for hanging In some hotel reception area or an airport or some such, I would use E-glass, although in such situations there would probably not be very close scrutiny anyway.

S-glass over here is substantially more expensive than E-glass, though nothing like carbon or some of the decorative mixes.
