Opinions about what boat is "best", alternate suggestions on to design a boat, what makes it desirable, what makes it good looking - all of that an more are not about facts, and have always been a part of this forum.

When you want to talk about how to do a scarf or what to glue it with, that falls in the realm of facts.
Even then there are lots of ways to do the same thing - that's also always been a part of this forum.

So long as we can get something more than "I think....." then there is a conversation to be had and value to be found, for experienced and beginners.

If there is a proposed "I think" method that you have already tried, then I hope someone/ everyone will speak up.
No need for someone to repeat a mistake and degrade a kayak project.

There is the alternative, my try at something might just have been my failure about some detail of the method and I'd like anyone to speak up and let me know what did work.

You can't really say that everyone should speak up and then say someone experienced should not provide their knowledge.

Damn, I was going to shut up.
