Fuselage frame predates 2011 by a good bit, very popular in the 59s and 60s. And it is an apt term to describe the construction, as the aircraft frame pic Nick posted shows. But whatever, think what you want. http://duckworksmagazine.com/07/howto/frame/index.htm

Also, if you want a skin that stays tight, polyester is your pick. Sewing nylon soaking wet helps, but it can and will still loosen. Something like 300% stretch and it is hydrophilic.
