Regardless of the quality of the product- it looks like the design is not very sophisticated, and I doubt it would be a great performer. It looks like a good 2D design, but the cross-section is such that I don't think it would pull much water, and that would make it hard to use, even if it comes apart for easy transport.

I have concerns about Alibaba, but different concerns than John. I have applied for several patents for a product I would like to produce, but if I am successful I am sure that the product will be counterfeited in China and sold via Alibaba and even reputable sellers like Amazon. So I'm very torn as to whether I should even bother. Would I even be able to make back my capital investment before the counterfeiters start undercutting my price and no one will buy the ACTUAL product? Nobody's getting rich off Greenland Paddles. If they really ARE the manufacturer of someone else's paddle and they're selling these on the side I would hope that you avoid patronizing them.
