I beg to differ with your characterization of the cross-section. Having a relatively thick blade with fine edges produces an outstanding paddle with a lot bite and lift when properly canted. While I can't speak to the performance of this particular paddle design since I haven't used it, this is very similar to my preferred lenticular blade cross-section. If you asked about this on the Greenland forum, I'm certain that you'd get a lot of similar feedback, as the general consensus is that a lenticular cross-section produces the most efficient blades. In comparison, flatter blades with thicker edges are noisy and inefficient.
