So your strips are curving in a bit too much in a small area. I couldn't view the photo also.

You could try running a utility knife between the strips, cutting through the cove and bead and glue joint. Then continue running through the space from the center of the intent outward basically making the space between strips larger. This will allow you to push the strips outward. When you are satisfied, you will push glue between the strips with the knife blade and prop the section from the inside.

No doubt, it sounds scary, but you can readjust the strips this way and it will be easier than you think. You can also squeeze in sandpaper between the strips if the cut gets rough or need shaping. You may have to open it up a bit beyond the bad concave area. Wetting the area with steam or a hot wet cloth will help pushing it back out and swell the wood joints as well.

I've done this with flat edge strips and it was painless. I know cove and bead throws a curve ball in there but I also know from experience that gluing wood over the stirips creates a terrible glue mark and its not easy to sand in a smooth concave passage. Plus you always have that as a bail-out if opening the strips goes sour.
