Perhaps I'm missing the point.

Yes.
Have you ever done an assisted rescue in rough conditions, or had to move along the side of your boat when swimming, or had to 'raft up' with another boat in rough conditions?

The lack of decent deck lines is a sure sign of the 'looks over function' style of boatbuilding. Just IMO.....

I'd like to hear a good argument against deck lines and good end toggles, aside from the cosmetic one.
