I would guess it also depends upon what you are considering as "fairly narrow".
A Pygmy Murrelet is 17' X 22" and 36 lbs. That is 4mm plywod and 6 oz. glass inside and out. I would guess if it was built with 3mm plywood and 4oz. glass, it would be mmuch lighter yet. Then you could consider no glass on the inside too. I certainly con't think it would be 25 pounds or less as you describe.
