Epoxy: epoxy safety

FYI

A youngish (sweet, wonderful) mother of two in our extended family has just been diagnosed with scleroderma. She has one of the worst forms of the disease. She will be going through stem cell treatment. ( the next month in hosp.) She has been told she has ten years left.

Exposure to epoxy resin, solvents and silica are three of the many causes that were listed.

As one who has mixed many small batches of epoxy and not bothered with the respirator or gloves I can say that was wrong and I will do better going forward.

While we talk about safety often I don't remember specific conditions talked about and thought I would put this out there.
