I put a couple of dings in mine that just barely broke through they epoxy and I put electrical tape over them to keep the water out. I left it there for years. No problem.

Yours is much bigger. Throw some epoxy on there, put a piece of packing tape over it while it cures, and paddle. Kayaks were made to be used.
