I asked the West engineers about any additives making a hull faster, and they said aside from keeping the hull clean and polished, Pledge furniture polish is the only thing that seemed to make a difference. I don't know how true that is, but given articles about other substances there is a chance it might be somewhat valid.

I'm not worried about making the hull faster in the water, I care more about when hitting rocks and getting "stuck".

I had a plastic ww boat that had hard plastic and is it slid right over rocks and got another one that was cooked wrong and the plastic was soft and it would get stopped/slow-down more going over the same rocks.

I'm guessing in this case though this is determined the epoxy and has less to do with the additive.
