They do make some epoxies that come in a tube, and I didn't look up the photo on their site, but assuming it's an actual non-epoxy adhesive Liquid nails would not be able to withstand the expansion and contraction. I'm sure it's a marine adhesive. 5200, Sikaflex, something along those lines.
