I posted this link on the builder's forum and was told that that it may be better suited on the design forum, makes sense. I guess I'm a little slow. I plan to build a tandem design with a glue lap hull and strip deck. I initially decided to modify the Great Auk to a double and scaled the forms up, double the #8 form and space out the others (except for the last several end forms) to get the size and stability I wanted. A fellow weighed in and mentioned that it may leecock badly being so high and seemed to have very limited storage space available. I am now leaning toward making the Guillemot Double design work for my application since it seems to really fit the bill. Could some of you take a look at the visible edge profile from my model at the link below and see if you concur with the analysis and also weigh in on pros and cons of this redesigned Great Auk as compared to the Guillemot Double.
