Was able to look at sea kayaker june 95 back issue over the weekend for the skeg article.The completions section had a laughing loon north star converted into a sit on top!!
Altho a barge(75#), it demonstrated the possibility of actually doing it, This one used deepvertical cuts at the forms in front and behind the cock pit w/ a flat area in between. In the flat area was a hole for the butt and a hole for ea foot. (3holes).
A much more graceful approach would be to take the typ cockpit cutout and dramatically lengthen and deepen it. Then holes as above or I think the U shape would be the best.
