Clothes (fuzzy rubber shirt)

I have spotted some "surf shirt" recently (sorry, link doesn't open - too long).
Material is so called "fuzzy rubber" - rubber-like polyurethane outer surface and fleece inner face. I've seen it in the MEC store here in Canada ($70 CDN) - definitely not a neoprene, much thinner and softer, besides sleeves are regular Lycra. I'm not doing much kayaking November through March, though with 60F+ now in NorthWest would have to think - skiing is over anyway. Such shirt might be useful as a top with Farmer John, for ex. (don't have any drytop), may be with paddling jacket over, in late autumn or early spring. Anybody ever used this stuff, guys?
