Rolling terminology frustrations

Greetings,

I find myself getting frustrated at the the broad range of different names given to the different rolling techniques. There seems to be inconsistant naming conventions. I've seen descriptions of pawlata, screw, sweep and to c-c rolls that all seem the same! Any takers for trying to define these rolls?

I'll start by describing two ways that I have rolled and perhaps these can be given names!

Technique #1:

- roll over in a foreward tuck position

- sweep paddle along the surface to 90 degree torso position (roughly)

- commence a downward paddle stroke while at the same time ...

- commence a hipsnap, doesn't need to be pronounced) and ...

- throwing my torso backwards toward the deck with my face upward

- I come up laying on the rear deck

Technique #2:

- roll over in a foreward tuck position

- sweep paddle along the surface to 90 degree torso position (roughly)

- commence a downward paddle stroke while at the same time ...

- commence a hipsnap with my outside thigh while at the same time ...

- propelling my torso down into the water

- I come up in a roughly seated position

One general comment is that all rolls seem to be essentially variations on a general theme.
