hot air & rubbish

For the record, an object moving through a liquid produces two types of resistance, wave making ie moving the liquid out of its way, and parasitic resistance, sometimes called skin friction. If someone has found a way to avoid this, please let us all know, so we can construct kayaks of this material. Adding a rudder (or a bow extension) will increase the waterline length of a vessel as well as reduce the wavemaking component and if done properly will often increase speed.
