David. You will have to decide if you want a simple "downwind" sail, or a more complex (but more useful) upwind sail rig. I have been paddling a Feathercraft K1 for about 10 years now, and have been looking at sailing for a few years. I finally took the plunge and just got delivered a full-on Balogh Batwing Sport 32 sail rig with outriggers. It allows one to sail within about 40 degrees into the wind(!) and will run like the dickens with a following wind. Best of all, the outriggers (Called the BOSS system) remove the worries of a gust flipping you over. Comes with a huge leeboard which prevents the boat from simply being blown ACROSS the water. Check out Mark Balogh's website baloghsaildesigns.com for more info. They are simply the best!
