FBC, I'm curious about your observation that a dihedral paddle is more likely to dive on a sweep for a roll than a flatter paddle blade. I currently use a Camano 220 unfeathered and have noted that a missed roll is invariably due to a diving paddle. Rushing my setup or loss of orientation on the loom are the usual dive precursors. OK, I'm considering trying a flat blade paddle (Whetstone)- for the lightness. I've been concerned though that the flat blade might be more prone to dive on a roll. I have no particular reason to expect I would be worse off in this regard, but I wonder about it. Can I infer from your comments that, in your experience, the opposite is the case? Thanks for any feedback, Carl
