Less is More When Rolling.

Hi All,

I read Greg Stamer's post with this heading and it reminded me of something I had meant to say with regard to rolling when Don Beale was learning.

When learning to roll do you think it is better to learn a bunch of different techniques or just one technique?

My opinion is that having just one technique that you can do extremely well is far superior in an emergency situation. You do not have to decide which roll you are going to use or all the little intricacies that make that particular one work, you just have to do the roll that you always do and remember the little things for it.(Actually, the little things will be so ingrained you will not even have to think of them.)

So my view is, one technique, one broken paddle modification and practice, practice, practice.
