I know there's been some discussion on to see vs not to see lately.
I went to a pool today and worked quite a bit on the rolling, and am doing much better now. I did notice that without the mask I cant seem to get it. I'm assuming that it's just that I dont have enough "feel" for the setup, and should practice with the eyes closed. I did manage one or two blind, but only when my hands did not leave the paddling position. I intend to make a point of going a couple times a month to improve, so that by next season I'll be in good shape. But I'm concerned a little that if I went down in a combat situation, the lack of a mask would be a problem. Is this just a matter of practice, or are there some specific things I could work on to improve "feel"?
