Shoulder excercises?

I went to the pool today and tried rolling with my two new paddles. The "standard" one is a little long in the loom but is easy to roll with. After hitting a few sweep rolls, I began to hit C to C's by extending the blade just a little. The "storm" size is too small for me to do C to C rolls with, but is very good for sweep rolls. Easier then the bigger one actually. Now I need a paddle sized between the two...

I am suprized at how much weaker my left side is now. I popped the shoulder last pool session, about 6 weeks ago. It apparently isnt healing too quick. The chiropracter put it back in place, and has me pulling the arm behind my back, with the forearm straight across my back. Similar on the front side, and not pulling upward at all. And, after paddling on it last weekend it felt quite a bit better. But I am dismayed at how weak it is rolling; good thing I managed to learn both sides, the old weak side is a lot stronger now. I am concentrating on keeping the elbow "tucked" now, and doing better technique-wise (Ithink). I can sure see how something like this could be a real problem in the cold.

What other excercises are good? Others with past injuries, have you simply paddled on them for excercise? That seems to me to do the most good actually. I'm sure it's beyond the "injured" stage and well into the "needs to get back into shape" stage.
