I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask but here goes. I have been watching this site for about 6 months now and am planning to build a Guillemot L. I have taken a few kayaking classes and have maybe 12 hours on the water. I would like to spend a lot more time on the water and do some 2 to 5 day trips. After an hour or two on the water I have trouble with my blood sugar levels. Is there anyone out there who is diabetic or who has friends who are diabetic kayakers that could give me some tips on controlling blood sugar levels in a kayak?
I am insulin dependent and use an insulin pump instead of taking injections.
