I'd be interested in hearing from those who use skin on frame type kayaks and how they deal with the "floation in case of flooding" issue. There doesn't seem to be any effective way to make water tight bulkheads. I know about floatation bags and bags of ping-pong balls/milk jugs/blocks of foam, seasocks, etc. But what, if anything, do you ACTUALLY use in your own boats? Pictures I see "seem" to suggest that a lot of SOF paddlers are using nothing! (There is often a lot of light showing through the fabric.) Is this safe? If so, please explain.
