Today, the weather and the forecasts had a difference of opinions.
The Great Lakes marine forecast said fair, winds E 10 - 15 knots, becoming NE, 10 knots in the afternoon. The city forecast promised clear skies through to Wednesday, winds today E to 20 km.
It was raining hard when I got to the lake, with thick nimbostratus clouds, quite local, surrounded by blue sky, and a ring of lake-effect cumulonimbus in the distance. Winds N, about 10 knots.
How do you wise ones out there handle such obvious weatherpersons' mistakes?
BTW, I went ahead (The rain was very local.)and watched the clouds like the proverbial hawk. But here in urban wimp heaven, the 'yaks can always come home by water taxi if things really don't work out.
