A Few Delmarva Paddler's Retreat Pics

FWIIW, I put up a page with a few pictures taken at the Delmarva Paddler's Retreat a couple weeks ago. As there are pictures that may be of some interest to several of the frequent contributors to this board (Brian Nystrom, Greg Stamer), I thought I would post the link here. Please feel free to use/copy/print the pictures as you wish.

By the way, the Delmarva Paddler's Retreat, now in something like its 14th year, is a real class act. It was my first time and for those who are not familiar with it, the emphasis is on Greenland style kayaking and Greenland techniques. The emphasis is more on kayaking technique than boat building. There were workshops in rolling, strokes, navigation, Greenland paddlemaking, barnicals, horseshoe crabs, etc. DPR Instructor Dan Baumer was VERY helpful in making my existing roll totally effortless and then quickly taught me the Butterfly Roll. Greg Stamer's workshop on Greenland strokes definitely improved my stroke and speed over the water. I heard similar positive comments throughout the weekend. Skin on frame, plywood and strip boatbuilding was discussed tangentially in a number of ways (Brian Nystrom's new SOF was a beautiful sight to see). The "Kayak Dresage" demonstrations were awesome! Add in lots of kayaking fellowship and a chance to meet some of the contributors to Nick's Bulletin Boards and you have the makings of a great weekend.

Thanks to all who helped make it so....
