Comfortable, affordable kayak for really long trip

I'm considering getting into kayaking once the weather warms up but I have very little knowledge on the subject currently, and hate making uninformed decisions. If I do end up buying a kayak I'd like one that I could potentially take on really long trips on lakes and rivers, so comfort and ease of paddling are probably my highest requirements, with price being fairly important as well. The only ones I've come up with so far that look comfortable and affordable are the Dirigo 106 or Old Town Cayuga 110 (I was looking at shorter ones for ease of transport and storage). The problem is the Old Town website talks about these being good for longer day trips but I'm not certain if that translates into them being good on trips that were longer than a day or two.
