I had some unusual kayak admirers last week.  Full story on facebook  look at the moose images.   One of them even licked the kayak.  I think they wanted to eat the quaking aspen accents.  https://www.facebook.com/scott.baxter.397 I think they liked the quaking aspen accent

 

Das BootAt  the end of a three night solo backcountry trip last year, my 61 year old self had my boat on one shoulder while I talked to a couple young ladies at the outfitters building at the take-out point. They were very impressed with the fact I had built it myself. I was feeling pretty good as I walked toward my car when I heard ‘I hope that’s what my dad does when he gets old.’
