I remember meeting up with Scott Baxter to paddle the Great Salt Lake. That was back in ooooooh, 2006, I think. The water is heavy with all the salt dissolved in it so it does not react in typical watery fashion. What it does do it offer amazing reflections from all directions because it lays so flat...like a mirror. Follow the link to Scotts Youtube post and see how beautiful it is on the big salty. Scott, I remember the "Raging Giant", that rock you climbed shown in this video...strange and amazing sight...the jagged edges of the rock in this formation add to the rawness of emotion the giant is showing.

Thanks for the compliment. I do add short video clips to a lot of my trip slide shows but as a personal preference I focus on still pictures. In a world of louder, faster, more yelling and screaming I prefer the still image that allows one to reflect not react. The reality is if you want more viewers you need an image of the instagram girl in a bikini but that is a path I choose not to walk.

Thank you for reposting the beautiful show. Watching and listening caused me to feel at peace in the midst of these contentious times.
