OK, Thanks I think Nick. Maybe I should clarify! I am building a 17' chesapeake. When attaching the two side panels, it says to spread the panels to a beam of 24" at a distance of 112" from the bow. Is THIS measurement along the gunwales or straight back from the tip? Thanks again,
