I'll admit, it's probably not the greatest idea, but I'm not too afraid of problems. The epoxy has long since set up and holds the deck on. The sheer clamps were coated generously with epoxy, as was the deck, so rusting of the nails probably won't ever be a problem.

I won't ever build another stitch & glue boat with a plywood deck, so I won't ever do it again, but I'm not worried about my present boat falling apart.
